As a former secretary of the club I can say that tennis is a popular game in the few weeks surrounding Wimbledon when many mothers ring me up about their children joining. <BR/><BR/>Unfortunately we never had the constant turnover and renewal of membership that football clubs get, with new generations of parents willing to help out for the sake of their children.<BR/><BR/>As the last generation of committee members grew older they tried very hard to hand over the reins but to no avail. If anyone reading this blog is interested in having a go in running a tennis club they may like to know that there is a useful amount of money tied to use for tennis in the parish available, and one or two old hands still playing occasionally who would be willing to give advice and encouragement.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07962419205752829347noreply@blogger.com
